If you always restart then you'll never achieve anything story wise. So my suggestion here would just be... Don't restart.

I dont know why but i just get bored after an hour or so and i only load it up once or twice a week.
I think the new "dlc" will be out before i even finish this one lol.
I did start a new game recently and sorta set my mind to only play on that one from now on so maybe ill beat it in a few months if i can be bothered. In the past i started a new game every time i played the game just because of the length of time gone by between each session.
My main pet peeve is being forced to use 1st person view while in a vehicle. I just dont like it one bit. Swimming would just take extremely to long. I just like having more peripheral vision.
I always opt out of the eating/drinking need. Personally its just redundant. Its not a challenge, just game fodder.
To be honest, I never thought of this "strikt" storyplay.
I undestood your post, it is like this:
Only if I follow the way, the game want's me to follow, I will succeed ?
I always thought, that there is "free play" with some hints to get successfull, but not like
- first do this
- wait for next message
- do what the message want's you to do
.......and so on. And if you do something else, you will lose messages, hints, blueprints or what ever.
Would probably have more completed runs and actual play time if I spent more time playing the game and less time studying its code.
This looked too 'cartoon-ish' to me, but I picked it up on the cheap and it's definitely worth it.
Not much left at this point. I guess it's the sense of progression that makes me come back
I'm now glad I have a poor memory so this game is always new and is very replayable.
