And from the findings of many players, it looks like they actually don't.
Some natural resources might grow back, like mushrooms and coral.
But mineral type resources seem not to, forcing you to move to a new location rather than stay in one spot for the entire game.
So only confimed that fauna respawn.
Im like 100% sure on the coral tubes because I remember this particular formation where the tube opens up into a cave and has a central raised column with several resouces on it surrounded by 2-3 crash fish. And I have collected from both the tube and that cave several times.
Limestone, sandstone, quartz, fish (so long as you don't over do it with the fishing), scrap metal and salt all respawn.
Just very slowly. As in "real world days worth of time slowly". Key point, that.
Table corral can turn up on the backs of reefbacks as so could also, technically, be said to respawn. Along with the barnicals you find on them that contain more copper and silver.
But the chances of you running out if table corral is very low with how much of it there is in the world
Shale you can get without end if you find a seatreader. Also seatreader poopy.
All plants can be grown in beds. And later all fish can be bred (just not in the fish tank you start the game with, you need the big one for that).
And if you go looking in the world outside of the safe shallows you can always find more of anything you could want more of.
Currently nothing has respawned but I'm only up to day 187.
Resources do not respawn.
This has been discussed 100 times.
They are taken from the pool and their distribution is drawn within one small piece of the map.
You can check this by collecting everything from a small piece, restart the game, collect a second time, run a third time and the map will be empty and the fish collecting scrap will be standing still.
Is it seen by someone. Who closes a five-year-old misleading topic ???
