What happen when i dont fix the Aurora?

Has anyone not fixed the aurora and can tell me what happens when the 24 hour timer expires?
I'm just curious ...

Failing to repair the Aurora results in radiation around the ship. While it does not devastate wildlife (from what I have seen), it is still a hazard for you. To survive around the Aurora and to explore it, you require a radiation suit. Hope this helps!

Yes as Krevarr says the only real impact is that you will need to wear your Rad Suit around the Aurora crash site throughout the game.

This can be a problem if 1). you need the Rebreather helmet to safely dive below 100m near the Aurora or 2). you have a Stillsuit or Reinforced Dive Suit you would rather be wearing in those areas.
