Where can I find magnetite?
I need it for lots of stuff but I don't know where I can find some. Preferably somewhere without leviathans.

All over really. As stated above, in the darkness of the floor of the Jellyshroom Cave, there is shale and quite a bit of magnetite. There are also quite a few in the Mountain Island caves in the center of the island. Lost River also has some down on the blue level (not usually on the sickly greenish yellow level). There are also some down in the Inactive Lava Zone, but they were not as numerous. Everywhere else I've found them is pretty risky.

I was just in the jellyshroom caves to check out the degasi habitat! It's so annoying when you have to go back to a place you just went to... it just wastes power for my seamoth

Don't worry, it'll get a bit easier going the more upgrades you get to find some things. Or at least that's what they say...

If you are worried about wasting power, I assume you do not have the moonpool yet. Once you have the moon pool, and reliable power source for a base (severla solar panels wil be fine if you are in the shallows), then you recharge for free and it is fairly quick.

The northwest mushroom forest is where I normall find moonpool parts, but you may need to hunt around a bit.

Powercells are easy to make, plus you will need them later anyway.

Jellyshroom Caves is the best spot. Especially in a Prawn that can carve up the lumps of it. Downside: Crabsnakes. Just try not to get too close to the large mushrooms. I can tell you, though, if you can sneak into an unoccupied mushroom, there's Crabsnake eggs inside.
Bring a fully-charged repair tool and maybe a spare battery, you're gonna need to patch up your craft now and then if you get too close to a Crabsnake mushroom. A few medkits are always a good plan.

If you're worried about power, build a Moonpool near an entrance with some solar panels on it to fuel it. The entrances are mostly in shallow enough areas for solar panels to work fine.

If you aren't aware, you can play the whole game without running into anything life threatening. I finished my game without running into one. NOW, I did do it a few times because I wanted to. But if it wasn't for that I would've never got more than 20 feet close to it.

I really recommend that you play the game rather than asking for things, if you still wanna ask go ahead. But trust me, it's more fun with the unknown being out there and you always being alert of your surrounding :D

The Subnautica planet is scary no matter who you are, and even if you knew about the world you'd still have to face it. Only question is if you unaware or aware and super jumpy cause you know something will be there!
