Do Table core grow back / spawn back ?
Well i need a lot of them and i do not wanna exterminate from the planet ( like i did at my first recce years ago and that has a negative impact on the environment ) just because i wanna take care about the environment , basically they are a bigg part of the beauty.

not that ive seen, but theres a lot of them, but some do break in to 3-4 pieces.

I don`t understand why they do not make a way where they can spawn / grow back or a way we can make a plant farm and this way we are able to take care of the environment.

I have so far collected at least 100 and i never get more than one pieces.

It most likely because of a mix of the reasons that it grows vertically up walls and the only grow beds we have are flat.

And, possibly, it's a bit to useful to let us mass produce the stuff like with most other resources.

I would have once said it was because coral was an animal and not a plant so can't be grown, but the days that didn't have an exception ended when they changed the in game lore (not to mention the game mechanics) to let you grow brain coral in the beds.

Everything can be grown in a game dude , they only need to fix the mechanics ,-)

Breaking the lore is also a bug... 8-)

The devs addressed this a long time ago. Corals grow very slowly over a very large timescale. It would be unrealistic if you could grow them in the days/weeks even months that you are stranded, because fully regrowing corals effectively takes centuries/millenia, depending on the species and size. Cultivating even one generation of corals in the course of a single human lifetime is impossible.

In addition to being some of the most beautiful and biologically diverse habitats in the ocean, barrier reefs and atolls also are some of the oldest. With growth rates of 0.3 to 2 centimeters per year for massive corals, and up to 10 centimeters per year for branching corals, it can take up to 10,000 years for a coral reef to form from a group of larvae (Barnes, 1987). Depending on their size, barrier reefs and atolls can take from 100,000 to 30,000,000 years to fully form.

He's saying the dev's went with a, not counting brain coral, realistic approach to if you can grow your own coral. In that you can't, because it would take longer than you would live for.

Well anyway they need to take a " serious round with the Subnautica Team " about what gonna spawn / grown / back and able to farm because this game here break all other game i have play all this year when we talk about the beauty and the details they have make in this game and they also need to keep in mind not everyone wanna hurry up and take that rocket just to end the game.

Basically if i wanna finish a game then i play some other game and not this one because this game here i wanna alway get back to it just to continue to build more huge base on all these different biome on the survival and that we can not do because the limited on item do non`t let us do that and that have the devs did not think about.

This game here is basically the only game i don`t wanna end and why do i wanna do that.

why do you need so much coral?

Computer chip - Fabricator - Scanner room and we need a lot of them if we choose to build several base and several scanner and as i say i like to take care of the environment and these table coral is a big part of the beauty.

Basically they should make a way where we get all item back in the game and on this way we can choose to stay on that planet if we wanna do that ,-)

Delete your cache file and that will respawn all resources including table coral...don’t forget there are more underground except they are green

Well i try these green Table Coral long time ago and as i remember at least 50% -70 % of them transfer into dust so i give them up at that time, maybe that was a bug or something.

-- Anyway i have make a thread about this long time ago where i ask about these table coral should be able to grow back and this way we can keep the environment nice.

-- I also make a suggestion about the metal and water vulcan where the vulcan should be able to throw out metal from time to time and this way we are able to build much more.I also keep all metal where i see any Stalker because it is nice to look at them from time to time when they play with these metal.

-- ADD THIS : maybe the Reefback Leviathan can spawn/ grow some table coral , just a suggestion.

So far i have 3 pretty bigg base and 4 scanner and i have collect most of these single quart - sandstone - limestone so i am not so interested to make these spawn back because i have done a lot of work to collect these item without scanner so to enter a cache file feels like cheeth but ty for that suggestion.

I use scanner later on just to try it out and it work very well and by the way i did not empty each area because some of these cave is very nice as it is so i keep these area to and i can always show some friend about the beauty in these cave.

-- Well when i think about it and maybe item in these cave can spawn back after a long time and vulcan should be able to throw some metal and table coral and other coral should spawn / grow back ( not to make it easy but to keep the environment ).
Some of these bigg quantum resources should also spawn back not because to make it easy there either but as you know not everyone wanna finish the game by use this rocket.

Basically it should be a choice to stay and build on that planet forever or finish the game ,-)

How many bases do you have? I have built as many as 16 bases, each with scanners and moonpools and never came close to using all the table coral out there.
