Mountain Island location
Hey. I know this is a pretty frequent topic, but I have a problem with finding the Mountain Island.
The replies from similar topics tell me to go noth-west from the Lifepod (or Aurora), but when i tried to go there today i ended up being hit by a Leviathan Reaper in a "dead zone" stated 1400m away from my Lifepod. So my request basically is: could you guys tell me how to get into that darn island?
Also, if that matters, while watching Keralis' gameplay, I noticed that a kind of waypoint shows up at the Sunbeam landing site when it's about to arrive. And I know that its landing site is on the Mountain Island, and that a cannon shoots it down. . Will that waypoint show up for me too? Thanks in advance.

A waypoint should show up~
Or you could just swim towards to clump of clouds in the distance, thats how i find both islands
Ok, guess I'll wait for the Sunbeam to arrive . Do you think my Seaglide will be fast enough to swim all the way from the Lifepod to the Island if I set out just when the arrival countdown shows up? I want to see the Sunbeam exploding .
The countdown is like 30 mins, it takes like 2 mins to get to the island

Stick your head out of the water. Look for clouds kind of in front of and behind the Aurora that float just on the surface of the water and don't move with the other clouds. Those mask the locations of both islands.

You can SWIM there without even fins on and still get there. You've over half an hour to do so.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Here is a Subnautica map that can help if you are willing to accept potential spoilers.

I suggest a trick.
As alredy mentioned, there are two lump of clouds not moving, one N, the other S.
You have to look carefully for them, or else you could stare at N and open the pad, the cloud will show in all of it's glory for you.
