The Cylops is great for that place.

If you have the depth module for it, then go.

If you also found the blueprint for the Thermal Reactor for the Cyclops, then you'll never have to worry about energy for as long as you're down there.

It is good for me. But I had a glitch(?) where there was no Sea Dragon, so that might have been what helped me. Make sure to bring a Thermal Recharge Module if you're taking the Cyclops.

Yeah, if you get lava larva on it, just quickly flash the shield.

Never needed a shield module.
Watch out for those pesky leeches, this is where the thermal module comes in handy.

How are the visuals down in the lava zone? Anything amazing to see in the Cyclops down there?

They're pretty fantastical down there.
You'll see plenty from the Cyclops, but bring your Prawn Suit too for the times you'll need (or want) to get closer to something.

There's actually a couple of little refuge areas away from the annoying creatures.
Places to avoid the leeches and safely build a base (if you so choose).

Otherwise, just park anywhere out of the way and it will be mostly left alone.

Cyclops rocks down therewith thermal mod. Use the sheild for leeches. When I parked I put a grav trap on each fin of the clops to help keep the leeches in check. Hardly had any problem with sea dragons just timed the pathing used silent running and a couple decoys.Bring the Prawn its a must.

Yeah, the Cyclops is a big asset down there. It's much more difficult to work down there and build a base without it.
