Death Penalty
Is there one(on survival)? Does anything happen when you die in this game, or is all it does is just reload the last save?

i think you respawn at your last save with survival. hardcore is one life
“You died and lost some belongings.”

On Freedom and Survival modes, dying makes you drop everything you’ve picked up since you last secured your inventory. You secure your inventory whenever you enter the lifepod or a powered base.

if you die in survival or freedom, you respawn in the nearest base, sub or in your pod, and lose all reasources that you have got between leaving you base, pod or sub and dying, but they can be retreived if you remember where you dies. in Hardcore, you die its over.

The deadliest enemy I've found in the game so far... Oxygen, or lack thereof. Kind of impossible to time it right when you're deep.

Only died twice in this game so far. Both times due to overconfidence exploring a big wreck and getting lost.

Yeah I got both... Got no Seamoth yet though, so should probably get that as I can refill my oxygen there. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥ swimming to the surface every time.

the seamoth is my goto. have a cyclops, but is just too unwieldy for me. with the upgrades, the seamoth can go pretty much anywhere i want

m8, not doing that every time I need air. I don't literally stay in 1 spot.

Does anyone actually use the air pumps? I've only built it once to see what it did but never felt it to be a convienent thing to carry around or build.

Yeah I wouldn't do any longtime deep sea diving without a seamoth to quickly replenish air. The pieces are pretty easy to find. You can find them in the seamoth bay room in the Aurora, or you can find most (if not all) pieces in the Grassy Plateus.
