Minus most if not all the resources you might have picked up since leaving the safe area.
Thank you both for quick answers. I was worried that I had to start doing manual backups :D.
But items are lost and even vehicles that I wasn't in at the time.
Remember to save. Don't ask for AutoSave it will save when you really don't want it to.
and you don't always go back to your lifepod, you go back to location of last save I believe.
Blueprints was actually another Q. Did you say they are retained after death? I thought since they are not technically "items" after you memorize them.
Let's say I am out in the deep ocean, collecting ressources. After 3 quartz I save. Then I go on and after another 2 quartz, I get eaten by a reaper leviathan. I awake in the lifepod with all quartz gone. I exit without saving and reload.
Do I then have 3 quartz or nothing?
sorry for grammar I'm in rush
Dave your game. Do something stupid. Reload the game as if it never happened.
This is different from an actual manual save which saves everything including contents of inventory, position in world, health/food/water status etc.
So if you save, then pick some stuff up, then die and reload, it will load you back in without the new stuff you just picked up. If you save, pick stuff up, then enter a base or lifepod, THEN die, you will still have the new stuff you picked up when you respawn back at your lifepod/base - but loading your old save (from before you entered the lifepod/base) will revert you to the point before the game "remembered" your new inventory contents.
