More singleplayer survival games like subnautica?
after i finsih this game, i look for more like this. The game was amazing, the story was amazing. Now i can only hope for a dlc or e second game. But are there more games like this? I only know the forest, what is similar. The must survival games are sadly for multiplayer and have not really things to found or a intressting story in singleplayer. But maybe there are exisit more survival games like subnautica. Somebody know games?

Search the Store, tagging survival and single player filters. There's quite a few out there.

Yes, most work as a singleplayer. But I want something similar. Most are pure sandbox, without story.
The most have good reviews because of the multiplayer.

That's the problem with finding a game like Subnautica, It's unique. There isn't much choice when it comes to open world survival with a story that has a beginning, a middle and an end, let alone good story.

I've been looking, but for now have settled for more Subnautica on Hardcore. Don't know what will feed the need for me after that though.

like i said the forest is more weponized type of survival thats fun but smaller of a world than subnautica.

I would say rust but that game is both multiplayer and has a crappy community. I’m not sure about the forest but if your like 8bit retro style games, I would try terraria

The Long Dark, while quite different from Subnautica, is a very good singleplayer survival game. It is much slower paced and darker in tone, but it can be very immersive. It's the second best survival game out behind Subnautica in my opinion, you should check it out.

Empyrion, Osirus:New Dawn. I think they ate both in early release...?

I just started with Osiris: New Dawn (it was on sale -40% last week) and I'm really liking it so far. Reminds me a lot of Subnautica (static map, custom base building, similar crafting system) but even better in some ways (like its very deep character customization options).

Yes it's still in early access (early Beta) but I think you can get at least 20 hours out of it as-is, more if you really dig the base-building and want to build a fancy floating or underwater base.

I made a short sneak peek vid if you want to watch:

I originally played Farsky before I got Subnautica. It was the game that got me interested in an underwater survival type scenario , and so led me to this gem.
Not sure if it ever got finished though, so check it out before buying.

I recommend The Solus Project. It's a survival game that has a story which also begins with your colony ship being shot down over an alien world. Lots of exploration, some of which is underwater and in caves. There's a lot of salvaging going on, some puzzles, and some items to create. What it isn't, though, is a building game... you won't be constructing a base, and you won't be using any vehicles. There is also no combat in the game, but there are some significant hazards to avoid... like getting caught outside during a meteor shower, tornados, lightning storms.

^^^ The only real difference between this and Subnautica in terms of game mechanics seems to be that it is level-based. That, and it is set on Earth.

I'd also put in a suggestion for Solus Project for a story based survival game.
