certain commands will diasble them, but using commmands, saving, quiting and reloading will reactivate them, so if your near an area where an achivement would be earnt. save your game, quit, reload and you should earn it.

This is wrong. It has been widely reported on this forum that using the console has no bearing on achievements and that has been my experience. I have used the "warpforward", "item", "spawn", "nocost" and "invisible" console commands at various times and it never prevented me from gaining all achievements.

I started a no cheat run for my first playthrough, but became so frustrated with navigating through the inactive lava zone to find the thermal plant, I threw in the towel and did whatever it took to just complete the game. That got me 15 of 17 achievements using console commands and leaving the last two which were bugged.

I subsequently started a second game to try and finish without using the console commands, now that I know the layout of the ILZ, and was successful. Then I saw the update last week that apparently fixed the last two achievements. For the hell of it, I pulled out an old save of my first run, where I massively cheated, and did the final launch. The last two achievements immediately popped.

haaaahh.... Adding more evidence to Warc1's post, used the invisibility cheat to get to the containment facility without worrying about warpers (yes roast me for being a little pansy I deserve it) and then later got the achievement for curing myself.

The Devs have stated that as long as you *deactivate* the console (re-check the "Disable Console" box) after using it, Achievements will still work.

If you play with the "Disable Console" box UN-checked, you will not get Achievements.

Well, they lied. I get achievments with the console enabled, they just don't get announced.

I’ll be nicer and say they misspoke, but yes! I had to enable it when my MVB bugged out (spawned a new so I could build a Cyclops) but I was never told to disable it again but yet I got my Cyclops achievement.

ive had the console box checked for about 2 years and ive got almost all the acievements, and spawing in stufff does stop you from getting them, i was playing a cheat free play, got most of the a achievements along the way, got to the [/spoiler] thermal plant [/spoiler] but forgot to bring [/spoiler] purple tablets [/spoiler] spawned a few in explored the whole place, read all data packs, got all the blueprints didnt get the achivement for doing it.

or like so many things in this game it's supposed to keep your from getting achievements if it stays enabled but...doesn't...because who the hell knows.

Yeah, that's wrong. Once I unchecked it on my first play through, that setting has remained unchecked ever since because it never resets without an explicit user change. It never stopped any achievements from popping.

i did a cheated run trying to get the thermalplant achivement because that was the only one i was missing so i unlocked the prawn and spawned a bunch of items, unchecked the console box, saved and restarted, then went down to the thermal base but i didnt get the achievment, i didnt bring any tablets so i couldnt explore the entire area. so, this could be the cause but im not sure.
