How to get Kyanite?

So I'm currently in a pickle where everything needs kyanite in order for me to move on. But I dont where to find it. Is it somewhere in the Lava Zone? Ive heard that there is a HUGE creature there so I avoided the area, afraid of possibly losing my cyclops. So is there any alternative of getting kyanite as well?

You can use the prawn with the grapple arm and drill arm, it gets around faster than the Cyclops. Note that not all large deposits of kyanite spawn near the sea dragon.

The Prawn Suit doesnt go that deep with depth module mk1. It needs mk2, but i need kyanite for that as well. So i guess thats not an option. -_- Thanks for advice though!

Kyanite deposits spawns below the max depth of the mk1.

No alternative, gotta gonto the inactive lava zone. You actually don’t have to get the cyclops near anything that can break it if you’re just getting kyanite. However watch your power levels like a hawk!

You can find it above 1300m. Just barely above but above.

I was able to get the cyclops to the lava zone. Thats where its found. Navagating the machine down there is not easy. I basically save at spots where im able too. Its actually still there as I dont want to make the treachous trip a second time.

I had a bit of a hard time finding it at first, had to venture a little further into inactive lava zone then I first realized to find it. For a depth reference I was at about 1250m when I found it and I did find more titanium and quartz then Kyanite. You’re looking for large deposits to drill with the PRAWN correct? Should be almost glowing blue when you see it!

Thanks for the help guys! I just found a bunch in this big lava castle or, whatever. (Basically the inactive lava zone, right?) Welp have a good day I guess, because mine sure is now.

If you build a scanner room base you can find all kinds of stuff above the lava zone.
