First time player - quality of life mods
I just picked up this game and am SUPER excited to play after watching a few videos, but I don't have a lot of time to play in general, so would like to install some mods to make the more tedious jobs automatic - I'm not looking to make the game easier or change the base game. Are there mods that do any of the following:
  1. Defining lockers to hold certain materials and auto sort everything in my inventory once I get back to base.
  2. Allow me to build items without needing to have the materials in my inventory; meaning it will see what i have in my locker and allow have available options based on that

Also, will this disable achievements? Not a huge deal, just curious.

Thanks!

1). Autosort Lockers mod on Nexus.

2). EasyCraft mod on Nexus.

I have a mod showcase series going if you want to watch:

In my opinion you really only need either the Autosort Lockers mod *or* the EasyCraft mod. Once the Fabricator is pulling stuff from storage automatically, it doesn't really matter where stuff is stored/organized.

IMHO EasyCraft is the real game-changer. Really streamlines the game and makes it feel much less grindy.

No, mods do not disable Achievements.

I feel sorry for you that you watched a bunch of videos before you even played.

IMHO, $15 of the game's value was in that first-play experience when everything was completely unknown.

I watched hours and hours of a Let's Play of this game before I finally bought it for myself.

I honestly didn't think a survival type game would be for me but I'm in my first Freedom run and having a good time.

I think knowing about stuff that's ahead helps me feel not so overwhelmed or rushed to progress.
I can just explore at my own pace and enjoy the part of the game I seem to enjoy most: base building.
