Easiest to find for beginners is the one near Lifepod 17. If you can get to 300m, you're going to be fine.

There are at least 3 entrances to the large Jellyshroom cave near the safe shallows, just look for large holes in the ground with little pick mushrooms around the edge, head south from the Safes and you’ll come across a Creepvine forest, continue until you hi the Grassy plateaus,, there is a jellyshroom cave along the edge of the Creepvine/ plateau join. Cant miss it.

My favourite entrance is to the south east of your lifepod, right on the border between kelp forest and grassy plateau, and pretty close to the Aurora's engines. You've got a kelp forest, which ends at a cliff and goes down to grassy plateaus, and the cave entrance is just at the bottom of the cliff.

The story provides the info. All the various distress messages and PDA crew logs contain clues and aren't just random fillings. Shouldn't be a really big spoiler as it's a very early message so check the lifepod whose inhabitant mentions the "strange caves nearby".

Like said above there are other entrances but hate to ruin the plot for you...

That is a pretty good area to build a base too. I like that box canyon.

You get a beacon location on the Degassi base in the jellyshroom cave from an abandoned PDA on the island S of the crash site. It helps you home in on the location.
