You want your time to be worth something. So spending a solid minute even with double drills to get 12 titanium or Quarts, you lie to yourself it's a good amount for your time and tech upgrades.
While if the drill went at a proper speed have more room to realize "Wait a minute, that's only three scrap metal worth. WTF Drill arm?" and other moments of clarity.

while warpers yank you out of your prawn suit two or three times before you can finish one large deposit.
Imagine how much quartz you could collect if you put your drive towards that instead.
But even with that, "But the needlessly slow drill is fine, because other things are SLOWER!" doesn't actually... defend the fact the drill is slow. It just further highlights it.
Base building is limited by your PC, since the more I build the worse the game plays I'm not so keen on building as much as I was.
So collecting all those materials is kind of useless now.
Coming to the end of the game for me. I've seen just about everything just need to do the ending and think I'll be done.
I'll be back if they do any DLC or if the patches allow base building beyond a few medium size bases without huge performance loss.
Pretty cool game. Absorbed me for a good 200 hours. Nothing left to do but build bases and that just slows the game down so yea.
works for me
