You are supposed to charge the power cells at your base, and then install them in the Cyclops manually. Carry around a set of spares, just in case.
Eventually you can charge the Cyclops with thermal energy, but that's late game tech.

I know. It's still on the Trello page. I got all excited back when I first saw it there. In hindsight, it's not a huge deal without it, but I feel like it woulda been really cool for creating an entirely 'dry', connected base setup.
Not as fancy as some shown, but with just two clicks up I'm in the cyclops and two down I'm in the base.
