Removal of a Ghost Leviathan
Alright, so I built up this great base in the Grand Reef. I love everything about it, and I spent a good deal of time building it up. The only problem is that there is a Ghost Leviathan that patrols nearby, and constantly charges me, my base, and my Cyclops that I have behind a rock bridge.

Is there a way to get rid of this thing? I know with Reaper Leviathans you can kill them, but it doesn't work in the slightest with Ghost Leviathans.

Prawn Suit, Grapple Arm and punchy punchy time. Jump jet upgrade can be useful too

maybe gas torpedos or ya the prawn suit

Prawn suit seems to have worked. It relocated to the other side of the rock, where it has no line of sight.

They are very lovable, I had a pet one down in The Lost River, always went to see her to play Catch The Prawn Suit. Though having built in Reaper territory, the attacks on even docked vehicles are annoying, even if you are perfectly safe inside your base.

I'd be perfectly fine with living in a Reaper and Ghost infested biome if they would just leave me be. They attack Warpers, so they help out there.

Haha yeah, it seems like fun at first but the constant screaming quickly gets on your nerves lol

Warpers, I actually fear them more than any other creature when playing hardcore mode, that warp sort of deletes your entire awareness and control. One is not so bad, but when two gang up on your it can be brutal.

Never had one attack the base. Can get a bit shirty when I drop from the moonpool though, but then I tend to find a couple of jabs to the face send her back to where she belongs.
There's only one Leviathan I've found to be a threat to bases, and that's primarily down to it using the spray and pray method of hunting.

Yeah, my main concern is with the Cyclops. If I forget to raise the shields, I'll end up having about a third health within only a few seconds. At the moment I can't move it somewhere safer than below the rock bridge, where the Ghost tends to stay away from.

Right now the thing patrols next to my base and keeps attacking a Warper that keeps teleporting in, and the screaming is driving me batty.

Probably best to move the base to be honest - even if you get rid of it, it'll respawn when you load the game.
Kind of depends where you are relative to the leviathan's patrol route. If you can figure that out then you can park the Cyclops up just out of range (are you leaving the lights on in the Cyclops? Usually the Ghosts will ignore the Cyclops if the lights and engine are off; I've survived a couple of attacks in the Lost River by pretty much playing dead). If it's the Warper luring it in it should head back to it's regular patrol after it's made an attack; if you can park the sub so there's a rock or the like in the way it'll usually bounce off when it attacks and then wander away.

They're pretty easy to get rid of. I've found two ways to kill them. There's the prawn suit, just grapple their body and drill away. Let go and retreat for repairs when needed. However, the best way is with a stasis rifle and heated knife, since the PRAWN can take more time. Their hit box is a bit wonky, so your best bet is to wait for it to be swimming at you and do a quick shot to the face. Might wanna release a few shots if you're having trouble. Once one hits, aim right at its face and give it a charged shot. Then just knife it like crazy and reset your stasis with a shot to the face. It may go through the leviathan. If that happens, just wait for it to come in for an attack and repeat the process. Anytime I come to an area with a ghost leviathan, I just grab my rifle out of the locker on my cyclops and go hunting. I always clear the area of any leviathan before I do any major traveling or operations there.

If you can lure warpers to it or it to warpers, Mr Ghostie will chomp these things down for you, confirmed in the area behind floating island.
