Make a Screenshots folder. There isn't one because you haven't snapped any in-game screenshots yet. If you don't know how to make a folder, go into the game and hit F11 to snap one screenshot, then exit and the folder should be there.

I did take a snap but it never made a screenshot folder.

And I don't know if making a screenshot and putting my custom pics would work though

Are you saying your screenshots won't load after you take them or that you can't load outside images into the game?

If it is the latter then take a screenshot in-game (not with F12) and name it something easy to remember but also very distinct like your name. Then exit or minimize your game, open Windows Explorer and do a search for the name you game your screenshot. You will be shown the file in your Search results. Right-click on it and select "Open File Location." Once you are there, find out what kind of file your screenshot is (.jpeg, .bmp, .png, etc.) and then keep that location open. You can either pin the folder to your desktop or Start menu or you can pin it to QuickAccess if you have Windows 10. Convert whatever image you want to put into your game into the same file type that your screenshot is and then put the image into that folder.

That should work.

Okay my bad, forget about the Screenshots folder - make sure you're using the correct "slotxxxx" for your current savegame. It doesn't have to be "slot0000".

Could be a bug but I did take a screenshot with F11 it made a screenshot but it wasn't in a folder it was just there .I put the my pictures there and they are the same type as well but they won't load in game

We still have a Screenshots folder but it has been relocated to the hidden AppData folder. That was why I suggested doing a search in Windows Explorer for any pre-existing screenshots.

OK, I have a question: Are you trying to take a Steam screenshot or an in-game scrennshot?

OK, then follow the directions I gave you in my first post. You need to find your Screenshots folder before you can put any outside images into it.

You are not supposed to look in your slot folders. The Screenshots folder has been moved out of the main Subnautica folder and into a folder within your AppData folder, which is a hidden folder inside your Documents folder.
