How Do I Delete Items In Inventory?

I am kind of stuck with lack of space in my inventory because I have no more chest space and I have items in my inventory. Is there a way to delete items in your inventory if i chose not to keep them?

Right-click to drop them where you stand or use a Trash Can or Nuclear Waste Disposal can to dispose of them permanently.

You have to find and scan one before you can build it - check debris fields.

OK i can't find trash can and I tried the right click on item in my inventory and nothing happens. I can't believe they didn't add a feature to remove an item from your inventory

two options

1/ I find a coral/small cave below the entrance to my base and drop junk in there as its out of the current/fish moving it
2/ Find a trash can, scan it and build it in your base. Just be careful it works quickly, be sure what you want in it is to go, as its destroyed

If you just want a place to store stuff you're better off with a locker. Same cost as a bin but no need to scan and it doesn't delete anything.

make a wall locker - put in stuff to get rid of - deconstruct wall locker

You cant drop items when inside your lifepod/sea base/cyclops/dry land, only when swimming. There is a trash can object you can find out in the world to scan and place that deletes items as well.

You cant deconstruct lockers while it contains items anymore, they need to be empty.

You can drop items on dry land. I did it not too long ago. Just not in vehicles/seabases.
