It's nowhere near Skyrim but waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than like Stranded Deep or the Forest even.
You wont feel cheated on exploration size, that I can tell you.
Just find the edge of the map, place a beacon, and place another at the opposite edge.
The open waters is what makes it 'look' big.
so its one big open world map rather than sections?
how do you travel, do yo have to make vehicles or are there there already. like does it have sumbarines?
Even if the gameplay itself makes it feel larger, is that not the point? I ve never met anyone who bases a game solely on play area in an SP unless there is absolutely nothing to do in that area. SD being a good example.
