Lifepod Beacon Messages (and Beacon Manager)
So after visiting a lifepod site , is the beacon entry in your beacon manager supposed to stay there or be removed?

For example , early on in the game I got a couple lifepod messages, saw their beacon locations and visited them. After arriving there and getting all the loot, the entry in my beacon manager would go away (and so I figured that meant I had 100% completed that lifepod site search and this was an intended game mechanic).

Since then, I received more lifepod becaon signals and I have 4-5 lifepod beacon entries in my beacon manager where I've visited the site(s) multiple times, took all the loot, see nothing else of value in the area - but the entry remains in my beacon manager tab.

Is this simply an inconsistency in the developers on keeping/removing entries in your beacon manager tab - or is each entry there until you 'complete' something in the lifepod area (loot, switch, etc)?

You're supposed to turn them off yourself for the most part. As you say, inconsistencies.
I assume you mean turn them off in your beacon manager tab in your pda...but that's not what I'm asking - it's that some of the entries (especially early on) were automatically removed from your beacon manager tab in your pda after visiting the site and now later on - they seem to stay there.
i think its when u grab a certain pda at each pod that it deactivates them
^ I don't think so....grabbed all the PDAs at each site I could see. Or if it is based on picking up PDAs then it's bugged since I took them.
Some disappear, some don't. Inconsistencies. For the ones that don't, once you're sure you've seen and done everything there is to those locations, turn them off yourself.
Some pods work great as markers though if you'd rather not build a dozen beacons. I usually turn off some but leave others on.
You can toggle all the beacons on/off. Just toggle the ones you don't want to see off, easy.
some of the markers don't disappear, I guess because they are intended to act as a waypoint close to entrances into deeper areas, etc.

The rest is removed to curb unnecessary clutter.
Yeah this is somewhat annoying. I feel like I keep getting radio messages with new coordinates that aren't showing up in the beacon manager because I have old beacons that won't go away.
