My only wish for subnautica

I'm a little tired of seeing the megalodon popping up in every water-related discussion or video on youtube, but here's a reason why it wouldn't fit in the game: It's not an alien.
If you want a megalodon, either mod it in or play ark ;)

Why would a non alien life form be added to a fictional game about alien life forms? It doesn't mesh well.
Play ark if you want megaladons though

This is supposed to be on an alien world. The megalodon is was a shark that swam in earth waters. It wouldn't fit in this game. Stranded Deep yes because that is in the middle of the ocean on earth.

Spawn in a leviathan, there is your megaladon. This game is based off of aliens, not old, dead, some even say non existant sharks.

Just because its a alien planet does not mean you can't have an alien shark, and still call it megaladon. Everything in the game was inspired by things in our own world in order to make the game come to life. I don't see why they can't take insperasion from a big shark and make a alien one. You can disagree still if you want, but seeing how all the creatures in the game came from our own world in real life I find the alien planet argument dull.

A seadragon did not come from our world, beither did a crabsquid, warper, fish with huge eyes such as a peeper, floaters did not come from our world, etc. So, yes I think adding a megaladon would be stupid, this is Subnautica, not ARK.

Megalodon is a shark from Earth. I think the sandsharks are good enough along with all the other alien sea life. If people are hell bent on a Megalodon then once the game is ready for mods, a person can create a megalodon mod for the game. I personally don't care to see that in the game. Anyway, enjoy.

If they want to mod the game I am sure mods will be made, but that has not been 100% confirmed. I have seen them say they are looking into it, but they have not stated yes we will. And as I said before everything in the game was inspired by things in our own world. So I don't see how taking the Magaladon and making a alien version to fit the game would be a issue at all.

Even in this interview they collected many real life references to inspire from.

Ok, point out what part exactly without editing it. From what I gathered, some plants used some inspiration but were altered, and animals were mostly imagined.
