Will my computer run Subnautica?
I've got a Windows surface which even I (someone who doesn't know crap about computers) know isn't exactly an ideal gaming computer but it's all I got right now.

Subnautica minimum requirements:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows Vista SP2 or newer, 64-bit
Processor: Intel Haswell 2 cores / 4 threads @ 2.5Ghz or equivalent
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Intel HD 4600 or equivalent - This includes most GPUs scoring greater than 950 points in the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 20 GB available space

My computer stats:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz
Installed RAM: 4.00 GB
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I'd really appreciate if someone who understands computers could help me out cause I literally copy pasted this info and idk what it means. For example: What the hell is DirectX??

[Edit]

So I’ve got a couple replies that basically boil down to, my computer is barely up for the job. I guess then my next question is, what can I do to make my computer able to properly run the game? Or do I just need a laptop better suited for gaming if I want to play games like this?

Also I found some more info on my laptop:
DirectX Version: 12 (FL12.1)
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 520

Your PC might run it, but very very slowly. Your processor is 2,4 GHz, while Subnautica needs 2,5. Also, 4 GB RAM is clearly not enough.

"Microsoft DirectX is a collection of application programming interfaces for handling tasks related to multimedia, especially game programming and video, on Microsoft platforms. Originally, the names of these APIs all began with Direct, such as Direct3D, DirectDraw, DirectMusic, DirectPlay, DirectSound, and so forth." -Wikipedia

Your CPU clock speed, 2.40GHz, is slightly lower than the minimum requirement of 2.5GHz.
You have just barely enough RAM to run the game, but it'd be a smoother experience if you got more.

What GPU do you use? You can find out in Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL > Task Manager > Performance > GPU #).

My personal belief is "if you have an integrated graphics card, you don't play games from this decade." It's usually just not worth it.

Ram is low, id say 8GB minimum,
CPU power could bottle neck you, 3.2Ghz or more would be best
What sort of GPU do you have ( thats your Graphics Card)
this game can be very performance heavy and some low to mid range rigs and can run poorly if at all.

Getting intel integrated graphics to run any game is hit and miss. Subnautica isn't too demanding, my 9 year old toaster runs it fine, but it maxes out my GPU (8GB RAM, 3.2 GHz AMD Phenom X6, Radeon HD 6870)

I wouldn't try running 3D/high performance games without a dedicated GPU, but you can always ask Steam for a refund after less than 2 hours playtime if you want to try it and it doesn't end up working for you - Or keep the game in your Steam library until you get a more powerful PC.

Try out this utility. I will test your system & give you information about how well it should run;
