If you're worried about something picking a fight with you (*Yoda voice*....You should be....You. Should be....) just take a stasis rifle with you.
If you have sonar on the seamoth that can help to not run into anything that would eat you (just bring an extra powercell).
If you need to work in an area with things that want to eat you, you can just shoot the ground (or something on the ground) with a fully powered stasis shot. It will make a big ol' zone of "NOPE!" you can safely work in for about 30 seconds per shot.
Video games are too complex for you then.
