Should I enter the Grand Reef/Deep Grand Reef?
It's kind of creepy and I want to make sure it's safe for me to go there. I have a seamoth and a stasis rifle for self-defense. Seamoth has hull reinforcement.

This game is not about fighting, lack of oxygen and food are your enemies. Do go down, bring a bottle of water a one health box, and go home once too hungry.
I'm still afraid of many places, but running away is always an option in this game.

Alright thanks. I have so much water it's surprising.

Its definitely not safe, but you need to progress. Stay on your toes. Look around you. Find materials and blueprints to build better stuff in order to build the submarine. With the sub you can go down and have it as a base with supplies and battery charges etc, and then drop out from it even deeper.

I can make a cyclops since I have the fragments and materials. But I guess I'm not going to go yet. I want the Prawn Suit Drill Arm, which I'll probably get soon. Thanks.

One of the places you can sometimes find the drill, is itself the grand reef. It's not a guarantee,
but if you plan avoid the place until you find one. Well, you can guess where I'm going, I'm sure.

If you're worried about something picking a fight with you (*Yoda voice*....You should be....You. Should be....) just take a stasis rifle with you.
If you have sonar on the seamoth that can help to not run into anything that would eat you (just bring an extra powercell).

I was afraid of the Ghost Leviathans that I can find there. I learned just a while ago that I can use the Stasis Rifle against them. And yes, the Prawn Suit Drill Arm Fragments can also be found there. Thanks.

The ghosts tend to stick to the above open waters. So long as you stay low you will be fine and so long as you take it slow you should hear the warpers before you see them (or they see you).
If you need to work in an area with things that want to eat you, you can just shoot the ground (or something on the ground) with a fully powered stasis shot. It will make a big ol' zone of "NOPE!" you can safely work in for about 30 seconds per shot.

Thank you. Guess I can get that last Degasi Seabase.
Yeah bro that place is awesome. You can find a friendly blue leviathan that will give you a bunch of diamond and titanium, just swim up to him

You mean the Ghost Leviathan? Nice try, I already know it can kill me pretty easily. And stop being a little piece of ♥♥♥♥, since other new players can come here and follow your false instructions, which will lead to their doom.

Doom? Seriously? You think that players can't tell that a huge menacing dragon, that attacks other fish around it, and appears accompanied by atmospheric music is dangerous?
Video games are too complex for you then.

there are a lot of fear inducing places in the world of subnautica, but as others have said its necessary to progress. sometimes it helps to observe the local wildlife and try to learn about them, but in the end you must head through there to get the full experience. try to understand what you are afraid of down there and learn how to at least be comfortable with it there, when i am in the dunes the little hairs on the back of my neck are usually standing on end. once u do this you can learn to conquer or at least compromise with ur fear haha. its nice to know that this game inspires such powerful emotion

I spent hours lurking near scary places to figure out the patterns and behaviors of the sea life, because I'm a massive coward... but it was fun anyway. If all else fails, build science modules and send cameras into the deep.
