Whoa! A 30 min timer popped up!

I've got a basic base with a moonpool and seamoth. I've got about maybe 30% of the map (Mod) explored and all the sudden. a timer counting down from 30min appears and a audio message telling me to meet the sunbeam in 30 minutes.

WITHOUT SPOILING, is missing this a make or break thing? It's just that, the game, so far, has been exploring and finding out what's going on at my own pace.... Is this 30 min timer a one off, or am I gonna start seeing more timers? I hope not.

It's a one-time thing. You won't break the game in any way if you ignore it, but you probably should go to the location at the time it asks. I'll just leave it at that.

The Sunbeam's arrival is one of the few scripted events in the game.

There are no other timers. This one is just to get you out to the Sunbeam landing location to make sure you see the scripted sequence.

You can skip it entirely if you want, but IMHO you do *not* want to.

You must not have been checking your radio to get that far into the game before that event. You get four messages from Avery Quinn before the one with the timer about the Sunbeam. I am pretty sure you don't get the timer at all if you never listen to radio messages.

You can see the event from the lifepod. I watched it and it was cool to see a green beam blow ot up from out of the clouds
