Now that we know multiplayer mods will happen for this game, i am excited for a potential combat mod, with real guns and other weapons.

Since the developers are completely against adding weapons to the game, it is up to the community to add them instead in the form of mods.

Likely wont happen until full release, but i cant wait!

What the ♥♥♥♥? Just because he says something "unordinary" for this game you can´t just bash him. If someone plays Minecraft with a Modpack, do you judge him because he wants a different experience?. If you want the game like it is FINE, but don´t judge others for their imaginations. Its theirs and you dont have the right to judge them for that

Shut up fool. You also ignore the parameters of the game mission and no doubt are trying to argue for the same inclusion of destructive weapons. Go play a game that was designed for that instead of trying to corrupt another and make it fit your grand delusion.

why is everyone hating on you? I played subnautica vanilla, I loved it, I liked the lack of weapons, and now that I am done I want new ways to play it. that is the POINT of modding. To open new and creative ways to play your favorite games. Sure, adding weapons would probably detract from the overall experience if it's your first time playing, but it would open up a whole world of possibilities for having fun and messing around in a game that otherwise doesn't have that much replay value past your 2nd or 3d playthrough, at most. Why on earth would anybody try to say that an entire genre of mod somehow isn't allowed for a certain game? people here need to learn how to grow up and have fun, or even if they personally wouldn't enjoy it, let other people have fun. A combat mod would in no way hurt these people, they can just choose not to get it. Unfortunately, I can't find anything apart from a single mod that just improves the way you mage torpedos a bit, now how they work themselves. hopefully somebody will make one soon

just don't download the mod. It's not like he's saying that the developers should update the game and make weapons a mandatory feature, he thinks it would be a cool new way to play the game. you act as if he is personally attacking you and your core values. FFS. How on earth could this affect you personally, why are you so upset about it.

Honestly check the date of this post. People have been replying to this for ages, despite it being dead multiple times.

It is like they do a search for 'combat mods' and then reply to the first one they see, without checking the date.

There are already combat mods on Nexus. There's a Seamoth laser, Alien Rifle, and Combat Pistol mods, all capable of taking down Sea Dragon Leviathans.

Notice how that never stopped any of you survival elites from enjoying your survival game? So stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it's not like it affects your gameplay.

On the note of the mods, the Alien Rifle is nice, takes a lot of power per shot though, without Ion it runs out quick as all hell. Combat pistol mod is nearly impossible to create until late game, as you need Alien Feces to do so. Seamoth laser is strong as all hell but the mod was outdated and some report it not working now.

Personally I'm a fan of the Autocraft mod if you want to talk about mods. It automatically pulls from nearby storaged resources to create stuff at the fabricator, it will even make a copper wiring kit and computer chip to create something that needs those two automatically, of course it still uses the resources and power, and takes longer.

There's a multiplayer mod too now by the way.

yup, been talked about in the forum and there is a guide for it in the guides section for this game, would be nice to have it on steam workshop for the people who dont like downloading random stuff on the internet tho.

seen quite a few youtube vids showing it off aswell.

It'd hadly call Mod Nexus content "Random stuff on the internet".

There's a reason why it's called the mod "Nexus". It's one of the (if not asbolutely THE) best place to get your mods.

I got all of my many skyrim mods from there, because there's more mods, a better modding community, and their own mod installer software that keeps things much more organized than Steam Workshop.
