So, Sea Dragons...
So today I finally made my way to the lava zone for the first time and high-tailed it in my prawn to the thermal powerplant.

On my way over, I heard the sea dragon for a while, only to see it swim out of the wall and ignore me for the most part as I hovered on over to the mountain that contains the powerplant.

It swam up to me and attacked me once, but I thought once I got into the caves I would be safe.

Boy was I wrong.

As I climbed onto the top of the powerplant (as I wanted to repair my prawn just in case), the next thing I know the sea dragon casually swims right into the cave and sits casually watching me.

I swim up to it because it's not attacking or moving, so I decide this is the perfect time to scan it. Unfortunately I came a little too close to its arms, and it swatted me, right through the wall of the cave and back out into the lava zone. I managed to sea-glide my way back to the Prawn suit (and finish scanning the sea dragon) and at some point between then and me getting stuck temporarily inside the wall of the powerplant, the sea dragon had left and chilled at the entrance waiting for me, where it did not attack me at all as I left.

I should have used the ingame report feature but I wasn't really thinking at the time. Woops.

Yes, the dragons (like the Reapers) can stupidly clip through the terrain. It's a known bug and one that will eventually get fixed, either before or after v1.0 in October. Not sure why it didn't attack though.

I think the Sea Dragon not attacking was part of the bug.

Not sure if it tracks the player on his own. It mainly liked to go after vehicles.

Could be entirely wrong about that, though.

I've experienced both of these bugs myself too. First time I went down there, as I was coming out of the power plant and back to my cyclops, I looked up to see this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1098107005
It was just chilling against one of the rock spires on the top of the lava castle, not moving. And continued to not move or attack as I loaded up my prawn, swam around the cyc clearing off lava larve, and moved off towards the lost river once more.

However the next time I visited, I was coming out of the power plant when the sea dragon sniped my prawn through the cave wall, dropping me from 100% health to the 20s in one hit. Never saw it phasing through the wall or anything, just heard a roar, saw a shower of sparks and an explosion, and my prawn took damage.

This might be a stretch, but do you think the developers are now toying with the idea of having the A.I. behave differently once the creature knows you see it? There have been a few reports of this phenomenon now and it seems like in each of these cases the Sea Dragon only attacks when the player doesn't suspect it or doesn't know where the Sea Dragon is.

you know what sad is? that it still go through the walls

yeah the leviathans do REALLY weird things with the terrain. with the reapers in the dunes i imagine it as them burrowing into the sand. as far as the sea dragons, they do behave strangely sometimes tho... ive even seen them swimming inside of the final story component, at the end... after a while i just laugh... watching that creature swim through solid rock caused me to tilt my head and huh...
