Just make it a habit of scanning everything the game will let you.
- New playthrough.
- No console commands ever used on this savegame.
- Found the tooth and scanned it prior to pickup.
- Picked it up after scanning.
When I came to my lifepod and checked the assembler, I found that Plasteel is unlocked, but not enameled glass. And I haven't got any lithium yet. It seems like my game really need some file checking, anyway, experimental version almost installed, that would probably update all the files anyway.
Thank you!
Come to think of it, any Tech Blueprint that requires another player created resource should unlock the player created resource in the fabricator. Like when you aquire the Reinforced dive suit, it'll unlock the sulfuric acid under advanced resources.
The closer this game gets to launch, the more screwy recipies and arbitraty lock conditions seem to get. "I scanned stalker teeth, and I'm ready to build a scan room!... Oh I can't until I scan an unrelated and useless cosmetic room. okay."
Yeah, look more thoroughly.
