Haha that would be hilarious and possibly be in the same vein as the game's humour actually. There's another quarantine station on the other side of the planet that shoots you down lol.
Come to think of it, that's actually a great idea for an expansion that involves a new area and plot. You launch off in the rocket, unknown secondary quarantine station shoot you down, you crash land in a completey different and new area, the plot thickens.

You could easily escape the quarantine just by going around the globe enough so that the beam can't get an angle on you due to the curvature of the planet.
It makes sense that there would be more than one to cover this issue.
Then scientists realize that the virus is still in you and you've infected the entire known civilized space, b/c the enzyme just innoculates you against the virus in you, doesn't wipe it out.
