Magnetite can be found underwater on the Mountain Island. Polyaniline is made from Deep Shrooms found in the Sparse Reef, Grand Reef, DGR, etc.

magnetite as wolf mentioned but it shallow waters, it's a sort of washed out red mass with blue dots.

the deepshrooms look exactly like acid mushrooms but primarily white with a little red near the middle.

You need to combine the Deep Shrooms with salt to get Hydrochloric Acid and then combine that with a gold ore to get Polyaniline.

Thank you! I couldn't remember the rest of the recipe. The Deep Shrooms are definitely the most difficult ingredient to aquire for Polyaniline, the rest is really straight forward.

In case you may be wondering why some of the upgrades in your Seamoth taskbar are green and you cannot use them, this is because they are passive.

Active = not constantly on, can be operated by the player.

The self-defense upgrade has two steps. First you need to enable it by pressing the number in the hotbar (4th slot, press 4), then you need to charge & release it.

^You can also use your mouse wheel to scroll through the available upgrades.
