Mobile vehicle bay lost :(

So i crafted the mvb and then exited my base, saw an up arrow saying to deploy it, but i swam away from base a bit (because i read advice to deploy in deeper waters, base is in shallows) and released the thing. it floated to surface and did nothing. went back to base, saved game, came back next day now i cant find the thing. climbed up on pod and looked around as well as swam circles looking for the darn thing and no luck.

i dont have all seamoth fragments so i think that might be problem why i cant see anytihng on surface or?? hope i dont have to craft again

I dunno. I've always picked the thing back up and stuck it in a locker just out of paranoia that something like that could happen.

Otherwise its totally a bug and you probably will have to build another one.

This has happened to me before but I always make new ones when I need one. It really isn't hard to craft at all, just make a new one lol

It's not a big deal to you but somewhere out there, there's a Mobile Vehicle Bay that's lost, lonely and afraid. Why did you just abandon him? You monster.

did you add it to your tool tray? usually left clicking the MVB in the inventory adds it to your tool tray, when it's added you usually press "1" and it shows up in your hands, right click and it deploys on the surface.

if you just drop it from the inventory it wil just float to the surface and do nothing.

I lost my mobile vehcile bay this way too. I also lost a gravisphere - they just floated away. Someplace there's a gravisphere with 100 dead fish stuck in it.

Gravspheres can be destroyed. It's possible a preditor killed it. A warper killed mine once. They can move away from the area you deployed it which is annoying.

So this is years later, but I just discovered that while technically MVBs dont drift, they CAN be pushed. a Reefback probably stole yours, like happened to mine
