Why in the world does it offer to make one then? xD
Are you speaking of the Air pump that pumps air FROM base TO pipes you construct outside?
I don't use the fng pipes or pumps because by the time I would possibly need that stuff, I have a Seamoth, a PRAWN and a Cyclops.
Well I'm just now coming back after a year hiatus so some of this new stuff is awkward. Like I had to read a guide to learn that the scanner is for MORE than just the sea life, but if you read what it does in the fabricator it says something about "sea life" not items, objects etc. Soooo it can be "misleading" I guess.
As far as the air pump I'm not sure. Like I said it just says something about exterior modules and it pumps air to pipe chains. Yet, when I try to make one I can't see it anywhere.
Why can't I see the air pump then? That's my thing it won't show up. It's like its invisible and there are no "exterior pipe" modules to attach using my home builder.
That's what I did too and nothing...guess it's an invisible intake. XD
Yes, but it wouldn't connect anything to it. :(
I've read up on that too...seems like if you're new, or returning to the game, if you make too much of one thing, or don't spend your items wisely you basically screw yourself over...I mean what happens when you've used up ALL copper and you can't make more batteries (granted there's now a battery recharger) but back when I played...that's why I had to quit. I ran out of copper to make batteries and couldn't recharge them. XD
Think about it. you can decosntruct things out of existance with the magic habitat builder, why can't one also deconstruct the starter stuff?
Personally i wish the friggin stuff would just respawn, or get the ability to scan nodes for whats in them, its not just fish i like looking at, I also like to appreciate natural beauty and would think if Subnautica dude is a pacifist in regards to weapons and killing, the same should extend to his environment. I'd rather see him scanning nodes and only taking what he needs instead of just busting every node open until you find that 1 peice of (insert desired element here)
