Can I play without guides?
I played when it came out and dont remember haveing so much trouble building the main base part but now im back to game and cant figure out how to build the most basic thing so i ask and people say this place and that place but i have no map.. so is ther any point in trying without a guide as i would rather not use cheats but spending hours looking for idk what on some floating island ??

You could just look up a map and not a guide. Many people on the internet have released a map of the game area. If people are telling you what biome to go for I would suggest that.

You can get the multipurpose room base part from the south western island. From your escape pod start heading in that direction. Just keep going and the island will come into view. Then scan the base you find there.

In my general experience from playing these types of games there always comes a point where you just can't seem to find something. IMHO it's ok to look up a guide in this instance. It's not "cheating".

I've been playing without guides, and I have made mistakes and have restarted a few times. I find it fun to explore and discover what I need to do as I play more, but to each their own.

Game is really tough without staying in touch here with others. I dont know how big is the game and if i havent checked here very often I would have thought there is nothing else to be done in game. But now everyday I got something to go after as I make topics here and exchange info. I dont have much free time to play and discover all content by myself.

The map isn't that big, Just started a new game and this will be my second time though and I already know where everything is from the first play though, you will get used to it quick and will realize a map isn't nessesary.

The signals should direct you to the areas you need to be in for certain upgrades to your playing. You shouldn't need a map or guide or cheats to play. Being that the game is in early access not everything has been implimented or had been full fleshed out. I think the game right now does a good job of leading you further and further out to help you find those areas on your own. You have knowledge of pieces of the game new players don't have. They will build a base without the multipurpose room until they find it. You want it quickly and don't want to wait and follow the signals and explore from there. Because you'd rather jump ahead, then go ahead and look at the wikia page for things. If you don't want to do that, then play through with repairing your communications, getting signals, and exploring around those areas for things you need. You honestly don't need anything but a willingness to go further than the safe shallows before you start finding things to make exploration easier and quicker. Previous knowledge can hamper you just as it can help you.

I recommend to grow farms immediately for rare resources to have instant access, that saves a ton of time!

I'd say it depends on how you want to play. Either you want to play as the lone survivor of a spaceship that crashed on an unknown alien world, or you want to play through as quickly as possible just to see everything the game has to offer.

It's a single-player game and there is no "One Right Way" to play, so do what makes you happy. There's a wiki and maps available to lead you to everything in the game, or ignore those and find it all yourself, it's all up to you.

You can play without guides. The story will eventually lead you to both of the floating islands. It takes time, but you'll eventually get everywhere you need to go. The escape pods you find in game will lead you along the way.
