Base Bubble
On the store page, one of the screenshots is a small base, but it has a glass bubble on the end of a corridor piece (Under the 'Construct Underwater Habitats' title - left side of image).

I have also seen this bubble in game in the jellyshroom cave base (probably elsewhere too, but that one sticks in my head).

Finally, I have also seen this bubble being constructed in one of the Subnautica videos on the store page.

What I have not been able to find is the blueprint to be able to build this bubble window dome thing myself. Was it removed? If so, why? It's a nice little piece of base tech that I, for one, liked.

thats an observtory. just go to the floating islnd and to the bases on the mountans, you can scan it there.

Try the jelly shroom cave in my opinion it's easier to scan.

The bubble is like the multi purpose room. There are no blueprints to find, you scan the rooms off of the wrecked bases.

You can find them at either of the above or at the base in the deep grand reef.

I'm not talking about the observatory, I'm talking about the bubble... cap I suppose, that fits the end of a corridor section. Go look at the Subnautica store page, find the section heading that says "Construct Underwater Habitats", and look at the picture underneath that. You will see a small base built on a foundation, consisting of a couple of corridor sections, a corner piece, hatch at one end, and a bubble at the other. That's what I'm asking about.

If you want to see what I'm talking about in game... You know the jellyshroom cave base? The top level in that consists of a couple of corridor pieces, an observatory, and one (maybe 2) of these bubble pieces I'm talking about. It/They are at the other end of the corridor, away from the observatory, like hemispherical windows.

I remembered the video I saw it in... On the website Rock, Paper, Shotgun, one of the authors, Pip, seems to be quite a fan of Subnautica. She made a short video, showing people around her 'Volcano Base'. That base has one of these windows in it.

Ahh ok it's a window try building it at the end of the corridor.
Bort Mar 23, 2017 @ 7:56am
Ah, so just a normal glass window, just built as a corridor end piece? Ok, I'll give that a go. Thanks Geckoman242 :)

It was pretty confusing for me too since it doesn't say you can build it on the end.

It looks like you are talking about the window.

Windows placed on the narrow end of a corridor will be bubbles. You can also put them on the ceeling of a corridor.

Off topic, but that gecko is adorably cute.

I wasn't aware the windows could go on the ceilings too, thanks Apostate.

Welcome, I love how you can sink 2 quartz into a glass tunnel or 6 to have three windows on a mettle one.

The windows on a titanium corridor leaves the option for a vertical shaft to link to a higher corridor. That's about it. If you don't need that shaft you can save a lot of material by building a glass corridor instead. Glass L bends, Ts, and X corridors when?

Hatches can also be placed on the sides of I shaped corridors.

We have glass L bends. T and X junctions would be nice.

I'm still hoping they implement the glass roof for MPR.

That would be cool, do you want a roof vs. metal ceiling or are you thinking retaractable metal roof like moonroofs for cars?

I'm just hoping for a giant glass dome so I can just lay down in the middle and contemplate life.

And actual window for a ceeling. Makes the MPR like a giant observatory, I saw sketches from trello I think but can't Google them up just now.
