Besides, there is nothing to fear from a reaper unless you are swimming naked. If you let one sneak up on your Seamoth he may grab it. But unless your Seamoth is already majorly damaged it will release you and you can then escape.
Also, you should make going to the Aurora your number 1 priority before doing anything else. Fix the reactor and eliminate the radiation. Plus you should pick up the pressure compensator and storage upgrades for the Seamoth immediately. Also pick up the efficiency module for the Cyclops. It takes a while to build the Cyclops, and the Cyclops is totally pointless for a trip to the Aurora.
You don't need to worry about reapers. They won't steal your Seamoth. They are scary looking, but not really dangerous.
I usually get my cyclops bridge and hull frags from the eastern forest because I can hit up the underwater island, mushroom, and two grassy wrecks in quick succession that way, but I believe the frags are in the western one as well if you'd prefer an alternate itinerary.
It will be fine. There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
If you are really that scared, just don't take the Seamoth. But nothing will happen even if you do take it. Unless of course you are teasing a reaper and lead him there.
