Lifepod 17
Hey, I'm very new to this game and I'm currently playing in Freedom mode.

So I've received a signal from lifepod17, and went to its location but upon entering the broken ship, nothing happens. What do I need to do?

Also, is there any good guide, to walk you through the game? I'm literally clueless and I don't really know what to do

What do you want to happen?

You go explore, find things, gather things. Scan fragments with your scanner to get blueprints.

Something? As I see it, the lifepod17 message is like a quest isn't it?

Its more of a fairy going "Hey Listen" and showing where there is some wreckage, its not like Decard Cain will appear and ask you to defeat Diablo.

There should be a PDA inside or near the outside of the lifepod. If not, you already gathered it. There might also be items inside or gear laying around outside of it. Nothing more happens.

Also, some of the wrecks may be near important locations, on particular wreck is next to a cave, which leads down into the lost river biome.

Another lifenpod is next to a huge chuck of the ship, as well as one of many entrances tobthe jelly mushroom biome.

It is the devs way of helping to "guide" you around the map, while providing a terrifying story.

No, not neccesarily. A lot of pods are empty with nothing to do there. As the last sentence from post $6 from straykaiya said:

About the giant wreck in the grasslands, is your framerate extremely low there too?

It seems when wrecks get the duplicate bug it causes major performance problems. Did you try to cut thru any doors on that wreck? If you cut thru a door and then the door is still there it means that the wreck has multiple wrecks stacked together, this seems to have caused major performance issues for me when at a wreck that has duplicated.

They're interesting set pieces with baackstory mostly. The only one i know of with nything useful is 6 with the rad suit, but I personally had to MAKE a rad suit to get it so... purpose defeated lol

Oh I see. Thanks a lot. I went to the wreck but couldn't find anything useful besides an aurora ship lookalike next to it. Might need a laser knife to try and cut existing doors

If you want to watch, I have a Beginners Quick Start Guide series going - I try to explain everything I'm doing as I go along and give hints and tips for beginners. This episode focuses on exploring all the Wrecks but you can also go back and watch earlier ones for more beginners' tips:
