Is there a way to build objects flush against the walls of the cyclops?
I've noted that objects you try to build against walls stick out like ... 10 or so inches (Approximate in game measurement) from surfaces you try to put them on in the cyclops. Is there some way to get the items to go flat against the walls like a no clip code or something?

I'm playing on the release client, if that's important.

Also hi! This is a lovely community.

Some of the walls you can, some you can't. You're basically placing objects onto a hitbox and it doesn't quite line up with the graphics, this is most apparent on the curved hulls. It's impossible to place anything flush on the curved hulls (like the sides of the docking chamber), because the graphic simply doesn't align with the hitbox.

You can place things in other places just fine though.

I saw your walling earlier actually and thats what prompted me to make this post. I was like "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how'd he do that? it's perfect!"

Thanks for the heads up though.

Lol. That's really the only spot where you can get the lockers to line up perfectly like that. I could've done it in the back as well I guess, but I jammed a few more lockers in.

These are the main places things float off the walls.

The first one doesn't really bother me since you can't really get an angle on the picture frame to see it floating.

The second one is really annoying since I see the frame floating every time I change the batteries... I don't even bother with wall lockers, because you can see, they'd be floating also since the regular lockers are placed as far back as possible.

The engine room is so bad I don't even try putting things there. You can get flower pots to actually go on the wall in a few spots though.

I put lockers on the sides of the this compartment also but you can put wall lockers on the bulkheads without them floating.

Then of course stuff is floating on the bridge, but it's whatevs. I just have to be careful if I try to sit down at the chairs in front of the consoles. When I get out of the chair it can throw the sub up to 30-40M horizontally sometimes in about a second. I've done it close to my base and flooded the entire thing pretty much instantly.

This needs to be fixed before release, it's driving me nuts too.

I haven't had problems in the dive trunk like you have; I keep lockers in there. Then again, maybe I just don't see the separation from the angle I stand.

The port bulkhead of the main / docking hatch area though, OMG I wish they'd fix that hitbox. Absolutely nothing goes on that wall less than six inches above it, and floor lockers have to be so far out they're in your walkway space and also look terrible / free standing.

I also like to keep my fabricator, charger, and a tool locker on the bridge, by the ladder, but that's getting cramped / wacky hitbox-ed enough that it's a serious challenge. It's making me think I should put more small lockers on the lower deck and put all that crap in the "ready room" compartment off the bridge, just to save on aggravation.

I also miss being able to place a chair in front of either of the bridge consoles, but there are phantom hitboxes preventing that now, too. You could never sit in the chairs (flying upside-down cyclops would result, often digging out huge swathes of terrain when it inevitably "crashed"), but they looked good.

Eh, I don't mind the full lockers. I actually like the look of them more than wall lockers anyway.

I keep my fabricator/med fab/mod station on the bridge. All the wall lockers have specific items in them. One is full of emergency water(50%), one is full of medkits, and one is full of my misc "tools" (stasis rifle/extra tanks etc.). I keep my power cell chargers in the engine room and my battery charger in the airlock where you swim into the Cyclops. Everything else is storage lol.

I'm not sure about experimental but you can place chairs in front of the consoles in stable, as seen in the last screenshot I posted(a command on the left and swivel on the right). I can sit down in them both perfectly fine, but when I try to get up I'll get thrown in the direction I was facing. As I mentioned previously... The Cyclops will also fly around a bit if I jump on the chairs and it pushes me into the consoles. I have yet to get the Cyclops upside down though.
