Also repairing wood or stone tools is not worth it. Make disposal to let them remove the destroyed tools. You can let them autocraft the necessary tools and even make a timer. Like every 30min he should craft a stone pickaxe.
Err you can definitely use the crafting station and have a an auto craft on each tool. I have mine set to "keep at 5" for each tool. This will make sure that there is always 5 of each tool in the chest. Works fine. My biggest problem is storage.
It would be great to have the maintenance type crafting be placed with gathering as well so I can say "Keep up to 20k stone, wood, branch" ect.
Huh, I must have missed that option. I don't think that was around the last time I played.
You're not wrong.
If you destroy the tools the first time they run out of durability, you're removing 100% of their durability instead of just 10%, but a few repairs and the longevity of the tool just isn't worth repairing anymore. I hadn't thought about it that way. That's kind of an annoying system.
In the Craftsman Bench, right click the tool you wish to craft, then select add planned queue. Then in the queue, click on the gear icon and set it to maintain stock, then set the amount of tools you wish to maintain.
