Tribesmen repairing tools?
Im in the basic stages of the game with wooden and stone tools, and I cant seem to figure out how to make the tribe followers repair their own tools.

Right now I need to craft 2-3 tools of the ones they will use so they last a little, but I wonder if there is some bench where you can assign somebody to do the repairs, or something else?

You can assign an npc to a repair station but you need to put in the destroyed tools/weapons/armor and say repair... So at the moment, there is no way to do it.

Also repairing wood or stone tools is not worth it. Make disposal to let them remove the destroyed tools. You can let them autocraft the necessary tools and even make a timer. Like every 30min he should craft a stone pickaxe.

You can't. The keyword there being "necessary".
All you can do is set up a task for them to create tools, but that doesn't take into account what is present and/or needed, which is more complicated than desired.

I'd be happy with a simple "deposit broken tools in storage" option rather than just the destroy option, as that would make this a whole lot easier. It wouldn't be what's required to automate it, but it's sure a whole lot easier to open a single box with a bunch of broken tools in it, than to run around and gather them all from each individual tribesman.

Extra points if they simply did the kind thing and let us check a box to have them deposit broken tools/weapons/armors into a repair station..

Err you can definitely use the crafting station and have a an auto craft on each tool. I have mine set to "keep at 5" for each tool. This will make sure that there is always 5 of each tool in the chest. Works fine. My biggest problem is storage.

It would be great to have the maintenance type crafting be placed with gathering as well so I can say "Keep up to 20k stone, wood, branch" ect.

There is a problem with automating the repair of broken tools is they eventually run out of durability. It is much simpler to just tell them to discard broken tools and have a crafter automatically keep a stock of tools. The higher the tier of tool the longer they last. It takes a long time for a gatherer to break an iron tool that its hard to notice the cost in replacing them.

Huh, I must have missed that option. I don't think that was around the last time I played.

You're not wrong.
If you destroy the tools the first time they run out of durability, you're removing 100% of their durability instead of just 10%, but a few repairs and the longevity of the tool just isn't worth repairing anymore. I hadn't thought about it that way. That's kind of an annoying system.

In the Craftsman Bench, right click the tool you wish to craft, then select add planned queue. Then in the queue, click on the gear icon and set it to maintain stock, then set the amount of tools you wish to maintain.
