The entire base theme is you are the mask and you use the MASK not the player to take over otehr people, and swap to the best people for the job you are doing sigh...
I agree with the OP and starkmaddness. I was googling for ways to increase my main character's proficiency past 50 when I found this discussion. I also had no clue that we're supposed to "use" other bodies to get past this limitation and I really don't like it either!
I don't really see how this is voluntary. Unless you wanna be mediocre in playing this game, you're being forced to constantly swap between people with better stats. I was under the impression that we're collecting tribesmen to help us with the menial tasks that come up at our base camp or help us with hard fights, etc., but that we would still mainly play with our original character.
