Ooh this gives me an idea though. instead of anti-aliasing like the HD version I believe does, generative AI can be used to make a real HD version now.
This, Cons:
- Old resolution
This, Pros:
Ur-Quan and Orz Fighters are the proper size and visible.
Ur-Quan Msters HD, Pros:
-You can customize between the 3D0 music or PC version
-Better resolution.
One of the most significant differences between this and the Ur-Quan Masters HD is in the Urquan Masters HD the planets have textures which allow you know what a planet is from beyond orbit.
this is why i think they are promoting this over the HD version. The HD version already available is good and people should get it as well but this version is what got me thinking!
I much prefer the pixel art personally. The Ur-Quan Masters is celebrated for its bright colours and unique alien + ship designs. I feel something is lost with the ‘smoothed over’ art of the ‘HD’ version is used.
Both versions exist for free on the internet - so play whichever one you prefer.
Correction: The UrQuan Master is *open sauce*. You are *free* to enjoy the *dancing*.
