If you liked it better that way, you can simply use the premade decks and leave the customization options untouched. In fact, now you can ever get a bit of extra difficulty by reducing the number of locations available before the Act boss.
I think before selfmade deck yes game was harder, you had at least to some runs to start unlocking stuff like better decks, gas (got some gameover with that) and unlocking those make sense, now they dont, as I said in topic I know I can make it harder but its not the same as having a new harder story mode with new achievements, the etc was there to make it even harder so the roguelite grind can be a reward.
I understand that it could be great to add achievements for that, but there are some nuances which make it a bit more complicated to implements as it may look like. But still even with no specific achievement you can start a new Campaign and raise the difficulty. It would be super challenging.
