STEAM FAQ

Hi everyone! After months of work, we’re finally ready to launch La Tale on Steam! We figured that some of you might have some questions, so here are some answers! If you still have questions after reading this FAQ, leave them in the thread, and we’ll update with answers for you.

Before we get started with the FAQ, we want to take the opportunity to thank the community again for showing their support for us when we were listed on Steam’s Greenlight program. We’re on Steam today because you guys are awesome!


• Steam Users

o How do I get help/send a Help Desk ticket?
Simply go to http://www.ogplanet.com/helpdesk/la_tale/account_general_inquiry.og & let us know what your issue is, and we’ll do our best to help you out. Be sure to include your Steam account name & character name, please!

o What about events?
Whether you play La Tale on Steam, or through OGPlanet’s website & launcher, you’ll still be eligible for the same events & promotions! To view the latest events & updates, head on over to http://latale.ogplanet.com/en/news/notice/list.og

o How can I use the OGP forums?
If you’d like to log into the OGPlanet website, or play our other games, simply create a new OGP account through our website.

o How come I can’t log into OGPlanet’s website or launcher with my account?
Due to technical and contractual limitations, Steam users won’t be able to access the OGPlanet website or launcher with the account they create to play La Tale on Steam. If you’d like to log into the OGPlanet website, or play our other games, simply create a new OGP account through our website.

o How come I can’t log into Steam La Tale with my OGP account?
Again, due to technical and contractual limitations, you won’t be able to log into the Steam La Tale client with your OGP account. If we find a way around the issues, we’ll update you guys, but for now, you’ll have to keep playing on your current account through OGP.

o How can I play other OGP games?
If you’d like to log into the OGPlanet website, or play our other games, simply create a new OGP account through our website.

6 years in the making hahaha ! I first played this back when OGP still had Albatross18 (Pangya currently) It has been 3 yrs I'l hop on now that its on steam. Cheers !

Why bother releasing on Steam when the most important function (being able to login), isn't implemented for old accounts... and there is no intention to add it?

I have several high level character on my account that I stopped playing years ago. I have no motivation to re-grind from 0 again.

It feels like a typical Warportal steam release (forces all old members to make new accounts). I guess the major difference from warpportal is that the new account creation process isn't broken.

Why do I use your La Tale after the beginning of the game is always prompt in your area cannot play, how can I do ah, can you help me?

Hello,

No you do not need to download the OGP launcher to run this game on Steam. Just be sure you have the game properly installed, If you haven't followed the prompts to register on the game, you will need to complete this as well. If you are still having this issue, please feel free to ask again.

I had intalled the game again, but when i try to launch nothing happens, the ICON of OGP appears but desappears after 2 seconds, but when i launch from OGP the game works, and i already registered my account, to make sure i did this can you please send the link again, maybe i registered in the wrong site.
And i already have the game on both, steam and OGP, but just OGP works

CODE 10004 what can I do?

Can't login on my already existing OGP account, fine.
Can't register a new account cause i already used that email for my old account.
And nope, I'm not gonna make another email just for this. If I had to create a new email for every stupid thing I'd have tons of unused emails for nothing.
And to think I really wanted to give it a try, after ages of MapleStory.
Fix it now, and only after that I'll give it a try.
Right now my verdict is: this game sucks so much i can't even login.

I attempt to launch the game but it tells me im not logged into steam which is wrong. Ive tried resetting steam but it did not work.
