frankly as it had a visual code for the puzzle solution i had to look the room up elsewhere as i don't have the option to scan it but still recognised it, but my problem is that when i have done the code and the 4 green lamps lit up, nothing happens, wasen't i supposed to get a hat for it?

I'm not sure but maybe you have not completed the sequence. There may be a final step you haven't done. Because you are right that you should be rewarded with a hat.

For the code (although not important anymore): You can screenshot the map, cut out the code and use an online scanner. Aslong as you have internet it is possible to decode it. At least I think I solved it this way. If not there is another possibility to get the sequence. Can't remember right now.

i looked up the sequence/solutin on a youtube video so it shouldn't be possible for me to have done it wrong somehow, as i followed it for that room and there it showed that he gained a thing after the 4 lamps turned green.

Just to be sure. Here is the sequence I got and used: \/\/LRLRLLLR\/\/, which means stamp, stamp, moving one left, stamp, moving one right, stamp and so on .... I don't know if it there have been changes for this room but depending on the age of the video you looked up it might be dated. Some puzzles got slight changes since the initial release. Other than that check if you don't have the Cone Hat already in your possesion. If it still not works try mailing the developers.

i did have 2 from other rooms, one being the reward from the race but even after trying it a few more times it still won't work so i'll try contacting them instead.

yeah i'm getting all of the lights but no hat
edit: solved it, looped around back to same room and got the hat
