How Does Construction Work?

Choosing the Location
Wall construction starts by selecting the terrain where you want to build them. Be sure to choose strategic locations, such as:

• Narrow Passages: Block narrow paths or natural entry points.
  
• Areas of Interest: Protect mines, farms, or critical buildings.
  
• Territory Borders: Establish clear boundaries to expand securely.

Adding Towers and Gates
Walls can be upgraded with:

• Ladders: Allow your troops to climb the walls, enhancing defense.
  
• Gates: Let your troops pass through and can be closed to block enemy advancement.

Required Resources

Building walls requires resources such as wood, stone, and time. Plan wisely, as focusing too much on walls might delay other projects for your empire.

Strategies with Walls

Reinforced Defense
Combine walls with towers to create an efficient defensive line. Place archers on the walls to eliminate enemies before they get too close.

Hello everyone!

Today we will talk about one of the most important mechanics we are working on: embarking and unboarding troops. This system will allow you to transport your units by land and sea, opening up new strategies and making the game even more dynamic!

How does it work?

• Boarding
  You can embark troops on ships or other means of transport very easily. Simply select the units and send them to the vessel. They will board automatically, respecting the capacity limit of each transport. Therefore, it is important to plan carefully who will travel and on which ship.
  
  
• Movement
  Once boarded, the units stay inside the vessel while it moves. Ships and other transports are vulnerable, so protecting your boats with archers or strong units will be essential.
  
  
• Disembarking
  Once you reach your destination, you decide where and how to disembark. Disembark fast units to protect the remaining landing.

The Difference Between Naval Combat in Empire Eternal

One thing we want to make clear: naval combat in Empire Eternal will be very different from what you are used to in other strategy games.

Here, ships do not shoot arrows or stones on their own. And from older ages like Stone Age to Renaissance, combat depends on the units that are on board. For example:

Archers can attack other ships from a distance.

Melee soldiers, like swordsmen or spearmen, will fight if the enemy approaches or if they collide with the ship.

Cavalry does not attack and needs protection, as it is very vulnerable at sea.

After the later ages, firearms come into play, drastically changing combat.


This means that the composition of your army inside the ships is very important. You can assemble:

Long-range ships: full of archers, perfect for keeping the enemy at bay. In addition to ancient and modern cannons

Fast ships: With melee soldiers, ready for quick and aggressive boarding.

Support ships: Carrying citizens or cavalry, which you need to protect at all costs.

Boarding and Disembarking Strategies

The way you organize boarding and disembarking can also make all the difference:

• Protect the vulnerable: Keep ships with citizens or cavalry protected by other, more heavily armed ships.
  
  
• Organized landings: First, send fast troops to create a secure perimeter. Then, slow units, such as cavalry, which take longer to disembark.
  
  
• Control landing points: Choose carefully where and when to disembark. A poorly planned attack can cost your entire army.

The Combat System

We are still working on the naval combat system, but we wanted to share this important difference with you. Our idea is to make each unit have a clear role and that their tactical decisions during boarding and disembarking directly influence the outcome of battles.

In later ages ships can fire more cannons depending on how many crew are on board. You may even have fewer active guns depending on the number of crew.
