Confusion with controls

I jsut got this game. Luckily its 2 bucks at teh momment. I opened this game and the first thing it asked was to press the "commence" button or something to begin configuring controller. I hadnt plugged my controller in yet. Unfortunatley its a cheep logitech pad from target so its a "get the job done" type thing. I know it works though because it works in Big picture mode just fine. Anyhow any button I pressed did notleave the screen this game was on so I figured I should just press the Enter key to continue. It worked. I was on to a screen to configure my controller. Sadly my controller was still not navigating on the screen so I used my keyboard to set teh default to Xbox 360 controller presets. I moved on to the main menu, still no controller navigation and the female character is continuously spinning. I just figured that was a display thing at the time. I tried doing tutorial things but realised that not only did my inputs on my controller still fail to work, the camera was spinning around my character just like how my character span on the menu screen. I started fiddling with things and figured out that my keyboard was what was controlling my character so technically i could play like that. The only problem is is that no matter how many input controller pads or keyboards I unplug my characters camera will continue to spin. I've uninstalled this game and re installed it but reinstalling it took like 2 seconds and the very first "press the confirm button on your controller to configure controls" screen doesnt show up anymore. it just moves on through the "brought to you by" screens before the menu screen comes up. someone please help. I would like to play my game with sexy anime chicks that I got for 2 bucks please

Mitsurugi isn't configured to work with a logitech pad I'm afraid. Currently its designed to work with an XBox 360 controller and (if it isn't already) soon it will have a PS4 controller support.

WTF?! I'm having the same issue with this game. The controls are messed up. I have a PS4 controller and it's all wacky. How can you put "Full Controller Support" when that's not the case! I hate using the refund option, but the quality of games on Steam seems to have been going down. I guess you get what you pay for. At least it was only a few bucks.

what about xbox one controller?
