Where can I get those?

You get those in the mission AFTER the cat mission, so they cannot help you with the new game only version of the cat achievement.

I spent forever farming as well, and here is how I eventually beat it (approximately, I forgot my exact set-up): Curry+Radiotoxic bomb on a Gonta (or on as many Gontas as you can afford to equip, if you put those upgrades on multiple Gontas be sure to spread them out enough that they don't kill each other). Just run forward and blow up, you should kill ~3-4 cats, if you don't you'd might as well reload, reposition, and try again. I can't remember what I used to clean up the rest, but if you manage to get them in a good position, you shouldn't need much more to clean up the rest, maybe 1 more super upgrade Gonta and a couple more with at least some speed upgrades, or some assaults with some speed upgrades.

Edit: Oh, haha, you're the same guy that I was telling about farming for that mission last time. Well then, I'll give my farming strategy too (it's pretty expensive though, I think I spent too much money trying to farm faster rather than building the things I actually needed) I Farmed Mine-Yahata Base by putting +3 target area and +3 range on 3 Nozomi Assaults (+2 if you can't afford +3), and you basically have each one of them wipe out one third of the map, hopefully getting the wipeout bonus rather than killing all the command tanks. Also, there is a recon unit that hides in the far upper left tile that can be a bit tricky to hit unless you have +3 target area and range, it has ruined my wipeout bonus many times.

Thanks. :D: Right now I'm farming the map from epside 9 and using 2 hikari and 1 of those huge barrage tanks. I noticed that if you hit the eastern commander first, you can tell where the other one will be. If the first 2 units show up/line up horizontally then the other one will be in the middle portion of the map. If they line up vertically then the other one will be hiding on the corner. :D:

I can't afford to get the +3s yet but I manage to get 106k per battle due to the speed bonus. What episode is Yahata Base? The money is probably better there. D:

Yahata is #13 I think, it's the one with the 6 tile Gekkou command tank. If you're getting 106k and can consistently get a speed bonus, then you may as well stay with that. Yahata will give ~140k with a wipeout, but depending on the time it takes to deploy, the 106k speed bonus may be more money per minute, and you wouldn't have to farm up as much just to buy stuff that would let you farm faster, so you can go straight for what you need to beat the cats.

awesome :D: hopefully I can get those bombs farmed up by tonight

Here's how I farm for crates. You'll need 2 5 speed shock tanks (either Taro or the cheaper Gonta if you've researched that far) and a daisy bomb. Sometimes the first move can fail since the pathing seems to be random or the enemy may evade. Use the pause game button to the side to make mid battle saves for the best results.

What map is that?

Also, what do you mean by making mid-battle saves?

Free map 24. By mid-battle saves, to the top right there's a couple of buttons, the bottom most button labed Pause will save mid battle where you can load from the top most save.

Ohh ty.

I assume I can't access that map until I beat the game? :rcry:

I don't recall having to beat the game to unlock the map but it may have been unlocked when I imported my desura save.
Jedo 16/jan./2014 às 20:22
Ahh. That'd make sense.

Do you just access it through the free battle menu?
YdenMkII 16/jan./2014 às 20:26
Yea it's just through the free battle menu. I just tested it out by renaming my save folder and it seems like the map isn't there by default so it's most likely a post game thing. It does seem to unlock for all new playthroughs (not just new game+) though.

Yeah, I didn't have that map until after I beat the game, but I had heard of farming on Bomb before (and I thought, "what the heck is Bomb?")
Jedo 16/jan./2014 às 20:41
awesome

thanks for the useful info :D:

I wonder if beating the game without taking the detour will unlock the new maps (if I reload a pre-finished save).

I'm on Chapter 7, just finished the Tunnel battle. How do I make the radiotoxic bomb?

To research radiotoxic bombs you need to have researched daisy bombs and built at least one.
