People can also try Joy2Key: http://joytokey.net/en/
http://ryochan7.com/projects/antimicro/
You can set a range on your stick so if you move it past a certain point, you can change the key/combo, making it useful for say a run modifier. You can save profiles for each game to files and then share them with others. It's free and open-source, unlike some of the big alternatives like Pinnacle.
I do most of my gaming from the couch in my living room without a keyboard. I use SteamOS sometimes and I'm keeping it vanilla (so no profiler installed), so it'd be nice if this game had native controller support. I've stuck it on my wishlist for now. The official Steam Controller will have a profiler built into Steam (it'd be nice if that was expanded to support other gamepads, too).

Only way i can see to cycle weapons is either via the mouse wheel or using the number keys across the top of my keyboard.
Any chance of getting one or possibly two additional keybinds added to the input config menu?
"Next Weapon" key bind and a "Previous Weapon" key bind would be ideal, but even just a "cycle weapon" key would work.
I've been just running around the starting area learning the basics for using work stations to combine parts I collected from the boxes scattered about to make a suitable helmet, armor, a knife, and a sword.
It was at that point, when I had more than one weapon, I realized weapon selection could be an issue for me with my current control scheme.
Third party app is not what I'm after, intend to use Logitech Gaming Software, and will just make do with keyboard/mouse wheel if necessary, but am hopeful for an additional 1 or 2 more keybinds if it would not be too much work.
Loving the game, and can see myself getting a lot of fun from this game.
Thanks for taking the time to read,
bye for now :)
I currently am using a config with my pad that works well enough, so I am able to enjoy the game and switch weap's just fine.
A "cycle weapon" key would, however, be a welcome addition.
Thank you again for this gem of a game, and for your involvement here beyond what most Dev's of late seem to offer :)
How would the middle mouse button work for a "cycle weapon"? Can that be assigned OK with the mapping tools? Just wanted to double-check...
Middle mouse button would work in my setup, not sure about the other programs (joy2key, etc..)
Thank you again for your help :)
Here is a profile I made for anyone else using AntiMicro:

It's set up for the default control bindings in the game, so you don't need to remap a bunch of stuff. You should auto-run if you move the left analog stick past 95% in any direction, Escape is Select, Enter is Start. Guide button will pop up the Steam overlay. I tested it out for a few minutes and I like how it's laid out. But of course if it's not 100% how you want it, you can just tweak it.
You still need a keyboard to enter a character name at the start of the game, and also to type OK to quit, unfortunately.. (A default name and removal of the OK to quit would solve these problems).
