DirectX 12
Is there any way to bypass the "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system" error on launch? I know I have DX12, and my GPU is the RX580, which is specifically listed under minimum specs.

I tried it and got hit with "LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\Prj\B02\UnrealEngine-5.0.0\Engine\Source\Runtime\RHI\Private\Windows\WindowsDynamicRHI.cpp] [Line: 779]
Unable to launch with RHI 'D3D11' since the project is not configured to support it." I'm starting to think I might just be out of luck on this one...

try leaving them message here decribing the problem, dont forget mention your pc specs/info https://bokehgamestudio.co.jp/en/contact-en/ just in case if they dont check steam forums but might read such letters...

good luck

Are you on quite recent Windows 10 or 11 ?
If so, I think it would be worth to run a dxdiag and send them the log.

Wait problem solved, it was a driver issue this whole time. Thanks for the help though, everyone!

Wait, I have this too.

I've updated drivers to the latest ones, but still get this:

DirectX 12 is not supported on your system.

Check your Win10 or 11 is up to date to recent major version (22H2 at least).

Then can you try to download this MS tool:
https://github.com/microsoft/DxCapsViewer/releases

and post what you are getting for shader model

It may be worth trying to do a clean reinstall of your latest Nvidia driver (there is an option to check at the beginning).

Same problem here. I've tried all the commands (d3d11, vulkan) but the game refuses to even boot. My graphics card is quite old but it does support directx12. I have windows 22H2, restarted PC, updated drivers, did the shortcut trick etc. Caps Viewer says my shader model is 6.5 and my feature level is 11_0 but dxdiag says my DirectX version is 12. I really don't get it because this problem doesn't show up for me in most modern games.

Wanted to follow my own advice and message them on issue, but their site is seemingly broken. And they don't have "troubleshooting" subforum here either. Uff.

I think there is something wrong with else OS or driver.
If your GPU support SM 6 so it should have level 12.

By the way, you didn't received 23H2 ?
Maybe it will solve the problem, since MS tends to reset some stuff/settings when upgrading to major versions.

Ok, in my case game finally works. Had to update windows and gpu drivers and everything. My gpu is gtx 960 though, it says it has 12_1 level. I still worry about vram, i have only 4 gb of it. Will game just "steal" additional from main ram or smth?

Good luck to others who still have problem!

It's not happening. My GPU is so old that only some DX12 games seem to work correctly. The only other time I remember this happening was with Death Stranding and I used a third party .dll fix to play it, but this game is so unpopular that probably no one will make a patch like that for it. It just completely refuses anything I do. Also I'm on Windows 10 so I can't get 23H2

The game barely breaks the 4GB of vram on 1440p.
In worst case yes it will should swap memory to the ram and may reduce performance.
