Authentication Error

Every time i start the game it says: "Steam Must be running to play this game".

I tried to reinstall the games several times, tried to restart my computer and steam and tried to reinstall the steam all over and the game.
Can anyone help me?

on which platform are you running the game?
Windows/Mac/Linux?

Is your Steam client up to date?

Yes everything is updated and to answer your question I'm using Windows

Have you tried one of these:

If you are a steam beta participator, opt out
*settings > account > Steam participation > Edit > None

Verify intregity of your Blockstorm game cache
*Library > Blockstorm > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache

Delete ClientRegistry.blob From your steam folder
*Usually Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > Steam

What Windows version do you have installed?
Does any other game on Steam has the same problem?

No problem with other games yet and I'm using Windows XP

It is really weird; I have no idea why it is not working for you.

The only idea I can figure out is to try to "Run as administrator" the game
or reinstall one of these:

Microsoft .NET framework 3.5
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

I have the same problem.
I use XP Windows
Open the game is also a pop-up window
"Must be running to play this game Steam"

Could you try to reinstall DirectX 9.0c too?

I'm running Blockstorm on a PC with Windows XP on, it has Service Pack 3 installed on it.
What Service Pack have you installed (I've no idea if this could cause the problem)?

Not supported oficially by MS, But a lot of software still supports it, And they're still used in some poorer countries. Hell, FireFox even still puts out an xp browser.
