A few tips to help you achieve them...
1) For the early tournaments, going back once you've unlocked dual traits and a wider variety of traits will help a lot
2) Replaying your lowest-scoring match and/or easiest opponent is the best way to increase your score for the tournament as a whole. No sense trying to improve a 67 to a score of 68 when one of your other tournaments ended with 50.
3) For the matches where opponents use one or two traits, things start to get even trickier. Experiment with which traits are the best counters to theirs. Ex. If they have "Master Gunner" use "Misfire" so they have to discard all of one of their own stacks.
Hope that helps. Good luck!
As for your second trait, I personally love using Misfire as it really limits the ways that an opponent can reduce your score. However, if playing a tournament where you bust on matching numbers instead of matching suits, I recommend using Davy Jones' Locker as your second trait because the odds of busting are a lot higher since there are only 6 different numbers where as there are 10 different suits.
The last tip is just persistence, sometimes it just takes a lucky Key & Chest combo with 8 cards in your hand on the last turn. If you keep trying you'll eventually get a score over 65 points.
Good luck!
Yeah, I too feel kind of disappointed when I 3 star a tournament for no reward (other than a few achievements). There should be an XP bonus of some type.
Thanks, it can be minor and, of course, only awarded once per tournament.
